My Challenge Being An Insurance Agent

After I quit my job as a flight attendant in 1999(10 years with MAS), i decided to take up financial planning. Being an agent with Prudential, my highest challenge is not meeting up my target but to convince the Malay about the importance of having insurance. Believe it or not, 92% of Bumiputera DO NOT have insurance. The excuse i normally get is 1. I have no money 2. I don't believe in insurance 3. As for my children and wife, when I die God will provide.
1. I have no money but when it comes to cigarette, they can spent minimum RM10 a day for a pack of cigarette and spending on sport rims and unnecessary expenses.
2. I don't believe in insurance- well base on what reason not to believe. Have they claimed before and did not received the claim?
3. As for my children and wife, when I die God will provide- Let me quote this ayat from Surah Al Baqarah ayat 240: "(in the case of) those of you who are about to die and leave behind them wives, they should bequeth unto their wives a provision for at least a year without turning them out, but if they go out of their own accord there is no sin for you in which they do of themselves within their rights. Allah is Mighty, Wise.
Some when I left messages at their FB, they would not even reply. 2 of my friends whom I have tried to convinced them to take up a protection plan and both have the same reply. "Wait la" "Not at this moment la". And now both have passed away leaving their housewives n kids struggling to go on with their lives. Its a very pitiful sight especially when I looked into their wives eyes. They were sad plus worried.
But I will not give up as this is my mission to spread awareness amongst the Malay on the importance of insurance.
